ELL Coordinator - Rachel Karijolich

March 2020

Hello Beard Students and Families,

My name is Rachel Karijolich, and I am Beard School's ELL Coordinator and Library/Literacy teacher.  I have worked at Beard for seven years.  I was previously a SECA (Special Education Classroom Assistant) at Beard before taking my current position.  I work with the general education preschool students as well as the special education K-3 students.

When your child comes to my class, we go on an adventure through our story of the week.  Each week we read a story aloud together, and ask/answer questions as we go along.  Your child also enjoys different crafts and activities that I have selected to go with each of our books.  Reading, literacy, and books are important to me, and I hope that I am helping instill this in your child.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at RLKarijolich@cps.edu
